Overview
Noli is an experimental digital playground on Solana. Instead of a feed of finished pictures, it gives you one object to play with: the NOLI Core. You change its colour, outline, beat and movement, and it reacts right away. When you like what you see, you can save a still image, send the shape to a friend as a link, deal variations from it, or sign it into a public gallery.
The idea is a tool you come back to, not a page you read once. Every visit can start from your last shape, a sample, or something someone else made. The three parts of the product map to the slogan: the Lab is where you create, the Remix Engine is where shapes branch, and the Gallery is where you discover what others made.
The NOLI Core
The Core is a bundle of thin strands drawn on a canvas in your browser. Each strand follows the same outline, offset a little from its neighbours, so together they read as a ribbon or a ring of light. On dark backdrops the strands add their light where they cross, which is what gives the soft glow; on the Paper backdrop they are drawn as ink.
The outline comes from a classic formula for symmetric shapes. With symmetry at zero it is a circle; raise it and you get three, five or sixteen lobes, and the roundness control decides whether those lobes are soft petals or sharp points. A small amount of seeded noise (Wobble) keeps the strands from looking machine-perfect, and the Seed value picks which version of that noise you get.
There are three forms:
- Ring: a closed core that breathes in place. Spread pushes the outer strands away from the inner ones.
- Wave: open ribbons that cross the frame. Symmetry sets how many crests, roundness how pointed they are.
- Bloom: one outline copied and turned around the centre, like petals. Twist sets how far the copies turn.
Controls
The Lab groups its 15 parameters in four panels. Every value is a whole number inside a fixed range, which keeps codes short and makes every shape reproducible.
- Shape: form, symmetry (0 to 16), roundness, number of strands (6 to 96) and spread.
- Colour: two colours on the colour wheel blended across the strands, glow strength and the backdrop (Night, Ink or Paper).
- Rhythm: a tempo in beats per minute and how deep each beat pushes the core outwards. Tap the tempo button three or more times to set the beat from music you are listening to. Zero holds the core still.
- Motion: speed, twist, wobble and the seed.
Shuffle deals a random shape, Undo steps back through your last thirty changes, and New starts over from the default. Your current shape is saved in this browser only, so closing the tab does not lose it.
Shape codes and links
A shape is written as a short code: the version number, then the fifteen values in base 36, separated by dots. The Lab keeps that code in the address bar as you work, so copying the address copies the shape. Pasting a code or a link into the footer field, or into the Remix page, opens it again. The server re-checks every field of a code before it stores anything, and a code that does not decode exactly is refused.
Remix lineage
When you open a shared shape and change any value, the link you now hold remembers where it came from: the code of the shape you started from, that shape's own parents, up to 8 ancestors, and a generation number that keeps counting even after older ancestors drop off. Starting from one of our samples counts as well.
The Remix Engine uses that history in two ways. It deals six variations of the shape you load, nudging two to four values by a gentle, bold or wild amount, and each variation opens in the Lab as the next generation. It also lists the family tree, so you can jump back to any ancestor and branch from there.
Exporting
Export draws the frame you are looking at once more on a fresh square canvas at 1080 or 2048 pixels and saves it as PNG or WebP. The image is made by your browser and goes straight to your downloads folder; nothing is uploaded. Use it anywhere you like.
The Gallery
The Creation Gallery shows shapes people chose to publish, next to a set of samples made by the Noli team and marked as samples. A published creation stores its title, your name or handle, an optional note of up to 240 characters, the shape code, its lineage and the wallet address that signed it. Text is plain only: no links, no HTML, no wallet addresses, and no talk of keys, airdrops or giveaways.
One wallet can keep up to 12 creations at a time and publish up to 20 times a day. Any wallet can report a creation once; after 3 different wallets report it, it leaves the Gallery and its content is hidden until a moderator looks. The wallet that published a creation can remove it at any time.
Publishing needs a record store. When the site runs without one, the Gallery says that creations are not stored yet, and everything else (making, exporting, sharing by link, remixing) keeps working.
Wallet and signatures
Noli uses the standard Solana wallet adapter, so Phantom, Solflare, Backpack and other Wallet Standard wallets appear on their own. Connecting shares your public address and lets the site show your SOL and $NOLI balances. It never asks for a transaction.
Publishing, removing and reporting each ask your wallet to sign a short readable message. It names this site, says what you are about to do, includes a fingerprint of the exact record and a one-time code, and states that it moves no funds. The server rebuilds the same message and checks the signature before it writes anything, and each one-time code works once.
$NOLI
$NOLI is the community token around the playground, launched on pump.fun. The contract address is on the Token page and in the footer; until it is set there, the site says "At launch" and every copy button stays off. Any address you see elsewhere before then is not ours. To buy, use the Trade link from this site and check the address before you confirm.
Nothing in the Lab, the Remix Engine or the Gallery requires holding $NOLI. It carries no promised value, yield or rewards.
Planned
These ideas come from the project plan. None of them exists in this build, and none is promised:
- Premium presets: curated preset packs that $NOLI holders could unlock.
- Creator service discounts: lower prices on future paid tools for holders.
- Collection publishing: turning a set of shapes into a published digital collection on Solana.
Each will be announced from the official X account and marked live on this site only when it actually works.
FAQ
+What is Noli?
Noli is an experimental generative art playground on Solana. Its centre is one digital object, the NOLI Core, that you reshape with colour, form, rhythm and motion controls, then export, share as a link, remix or publish to a public gallery.
+How does Noli work?
A shape is fifteen whole numbers. Drawing code in your browser turns those numbers into a few dozen glowing strands and redraws them every frame. Because the same numbers always draw the same shape, a short code inside a link is enough to rebuild it anywhere.
+What is a remix?
Open a shape someone shared and change any value. The new link keeps a list of the shapes it came from (the eight nearest) and a generation count, so the Remix page can show its family tree and anyone can branch from an earlier point.
+Does publishing to the Gallery cost anything?
No. Your wallet signs a short readable message, which is not a transaction and moves nothing. The wallet needs to hold a small amount of SOL (0.01 by default) only to keep throwaway wallets from flooding the Gallery; nothing is spent.
+Are creations NFTs?
No. A creation is a settings record signed by your wallet and kept on this site, plus any image you export yourself. Nothing is minted. Publishing collections on Solana is a planned idea and is labelled that way.
+How do I buy $NOLI?
Get a Solana wallet such as Phantom, Solflare or Backpack, add some SOL, then open the $NOLI page on pump.fun from the Trade button on this site and check that the address matches the one on the Token page before you confirm.
+Which network is Noli on?
Solana mainnet. Wallet connection, balances and $NOLI all live on Solana; the drawing itself happens in your browser.
+Does Noli run a smart contract?
No. Noli has no program of its own on Solana. Gallery entries are signed records on the site's server; the code that checks signatures, limits and reports is covered by automated tests.
+What can I do with $NOLI today?
Hold it, trade it and follow the project. Premium presets, discounts on creator services and collection publishing are planned uses that do not exist yet. The Lab, Remix Engine and Gallery work without holding $NOLI.
+What are the risks?
$NOLI is a community token with no promised value, yield or rewards, and its price can fall to zero. Planned features may change or never ship. Only use the address shown on this site, and never share a seed phrase or private key; Noli will never ask for one.
